Carver County is offering a free waste disposal for items including latex/oil-based/spray paint, paint remover/stripper/thinner, stain/varnish, concrete/driveway sealer, bug spray/insect/rodent killer, fertilizers/pesticides/weed killer, pool chemicals, aerosol cans, nail polish/remover, household/drain cleaners, propane, lighter fluid/camping fuels, mercury thermometers/thermostats, and gas/auto products.
Do NOT throw hazardous materials in the garbage or pour them down the sewer or on the ground.
Spring 2025 Deadline (while supplies last)
Carver County is accepting orders for the 2025 spring tree and shrub program. They have a variety of conifers, tall and medium hardwoods, and shrub seedlings that range in delivery size from 7-18.
They also have Mesic Prairie, Pollinator, and Savanna native seed mixes available for sale. Each of these seed mixes are sold in 1,000 square feet packets.

June 1 Deadline
The Minnesota Association of Townships (MAT) is awarding $2,000 scholarships to up to five juniors that plan to further their education at a college, university, or vocational school. Students can visit https://www.mntownships.org/about/scholarship-program and apply.
